Michael Olson: No More Mr. Nice Guy

ncfswfc1-posterOn November 5, 2016, the warm, jovial persona of Michael “Berserker” Olson (2-2) will evaporate at the sound of the bell when he faces Joe “Sodamnoverland” Roye (0-3) at the NorCal Fight Series (NCFS) and West Coast Fighting Championship (WFC) co-promoted event inside Rancho Cordova’s Metro City Soccer Complex.

Olson launched his career as a flyweight, though he soon traded in his 125-pound shell for a bantamweight model. At WFC 17 earlier this year, Olson was unsuccessful in his initial attempt at 135-pounds; therefore, he’s eager to return to action and earn redemption. In addition to Olson’s typical investment of training alongside his MMAGOLD teammates at Urban Sprawl Fitness, he’s been making the trek to Roseville and logging numerous rounds under the tutelage of Dave
Marinoble at Marinoble’s Martial Arts & Kickboxing.Although Roye, out of Perfomance Fitness & MMA, is winless, it doesn’t mean he’s any less of a threat. Previous tomichael-olson-ncfswfc1-poster this contest, Roye competed at the featherweight limit, which means dropping down to bantamweight may fit like a well-tailored suit.

Upon the referee’s orders, much like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, spectators will witness Olson’s transformation into “Berserker” before their very eyes at NCFS/WFC.
