Billy Brand vs. Chris Elisarraras at NCFS 5

screen-shot-2017-02-05-at-8-38-34-amNorCal Fight Series (NCFS), a new face in Northern California’s amateur MMA game, has already made a habit of stuffing the center of Rancho Cordova’s Metro City Soccer Complex with an array of talent, from the inexperienced to nearing the next level of competition. Closing out a fifteen fight affair on March 11th, NCFS 5 features a pair of decorated featherweights: Billy ‘Songthak’ Brand and Chris ‘Baby Tank’ Elisarraras.

After nearly a year and a half away from action, Brand, the phenom on the feet out of MMAGOLD and Legacy Muay Thai, seeks to scar Elisarraras with a lethal arsenal of strikes. 12139917_903001516422043_171690442869053985_oBrand’s desire to ‘tune-up’ at full speed is obvious in pulling Elisarraras, a cross-promotional champion, as a return fight. Any gold from MMA in Brand’s life doesn’t stop at the logo embroidered on his shorts; he held the 145-pound crown at The Titans Cage, another top-tier amateur promotion in the region, in June of 2015.

Elisarraras will enter Brand’s backyard from The Pit North in Atascadero, CA brandishing two championships, at two weight classes, under two separate banners: the 209 Beatdown Bantamweight Champ and the 559 Fights Featherweight Champ. In Elisarraras’ recent bid for a third addition to his trophy case, the 559 Fights screen-shot-2017-02-05-at-7-08-04-amBantamweight Title, he suffered a broken leg, which fractured any further attention at 135-pounds as an amateur, especially with weigh-ins on the same day as the bout, a C.A.M.O. (California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Organization) mandate. For now, Elisarraras is focused on featherweight and future face-off with Brand at NCFS 5.

The flurries expected from locking these dominant stand-up specialists in the cage together at NCFS 5 will bring everyone to their feet inside the Metro City Soccer Complex until, eventually, someone drops flat against the canvas.
